VON SMITH DETERMINED TO PUT BARWA RACING IN THE WINNER’S CIRCLE AT U.S. NATIONALS
 (09-03-10) INDIANAPOLIS, IN – In a category that has quickly established itself as one of the most competitive in the sport of drag racing, Von Smith and the Barwa Racing team have proven to be the dominant force in the Get Screened America NHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing Series with three wins in three final round appearances so far in 2010. According to Smith, the 56th annual Mac Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals would be an ideal place to earn his fourth victory this season.
Coming into this weekend’s highly prestigious event, Smith has a firm grasp on the No. 1 spot in the Pro Modified point standings, and the 47-year old from Oak Ridge, Tennessee doesn’t plan on relinquishing the lead anytime soon.

DANNY ROWE POISED FOR BIG WEEKEND AT THE “BIG GO”
 (09-03-10) INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Danny Rowe could hardly be any more confident rolling into this weekend’s 56th annual Mac Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals, known as the biggest and most prestigious drag race in the world, unless he was in the points lead. He’s currently second in the standings and is only days removed from an impressive performance and win at the NHRA Unleashed event held at O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis. At the wheel of the Sterling Bridge/Hottinger Group Pro Modified Camaro, Rowe broke into the five-second zone and secured a victory in the final round against the ever-competitive Roger Burgess during the NHRA Unleashed event, on the same track that the U.S. Nationals will be contested this weekend. Though the conditions will be far more favorable this coming Labor Day weekend than they were in early August, Rowe and company are satisfied with the data and experience acquired during the race/test session.

 Stawicki, Hawker, Latino lead Pro Modified finale going into season-ending closer
(09-02-10) GRAND BEND, ON – Although he has only one win so far this season in the 2010 Pro Modified Racing Association tour, Mike Stawicki holds the lead in the PMRA Championship Point Award Series presented by Magnum Auto Parts and Patio Passport.
The Medina, NY driver of the G-Force Racing Cars 1968 Firebird has amassed 1044 points to date. Derek Hawker of Corbyville, Ontario, is close behind with 1042 points with one win to his credit in his 1963 Corvette, while third is Eric Latino, and his 1938 Chevy Coupe. The Port Perry, Ontario driver, who won the season opener, has 1025 points.

EOPM Thanks and Announce Coastal Plains
 (08-31-10) FREDRICKSBURG, VA - Early last week Stuart Williams of the Extreme Outlaw Pro Mods finalized a deal for the EOPM to compete at Coastal Plains Dragway on November 20th of this season. "Mr. Ronnie Humphrey, owner of Coastal Plains Dragway, and I had been in touch for a while, and we are happy to be heading to his facility this year. We got in touch with some of racers who support the clulb, and they liked the idea of racing in November so its an all go now" said Williams. Talking with some of the racers they exclaim that Coastal Plains holds that race the weekend before Thanksgiving annually, and it is a event with a rich history. The Extreme Outlaw Pro Mods are excited to be apart of this event and look forward to bringing "the New Show" to Coastal Plains with Mr. Ronnie Humphrey who is also a star NHRA Pro Stock racer. With the good come the bad though. We are sad to inform our racers that the EOPM will not race on October 2nd as scheduled. The date would have gave racers who had competed with the EOPM once, two more races to get their three races in for the EOPM Nationals. Therefore the race on September 18th at Dunn Benson Dragstrip will be the last event before the Nationals.
