Introducing: “Cool It” Transmission Cooling Unit
 (05-21-13) HAWK POINT, MO - The rise of converter driven race cars in recent years has brought attention to the issue of correctly cooling a transmission between runs. To combat the issue, homemade cooling units using plastic beer coolers and small pumps have been created and used with little success. Recently, Tim McAmis Performance Parts took on the challenge to develop a reliable and effective system to solve this problem and the result was “Cool It.”

BERNER AND TEAM SUMMIT ACHIEVE FIRST FINAL ROUND APPEARANCE OF 2013
 (05-21-13) CORDOVA, IL - True to the style of Pete Berner and the Summit Racing Equipment Extreme Pro Stock Team, their hard work and perseverance has finally turned their luck around. After noticeable struggles thus far in 2013, Berner and team took the Summit Racing / CarSafe Camaro to the finals at the ADRL Spring Drags.
“It feels good to be back in winning form again,” told Berner. “We certainly would have loved to take the trophy, but we also realize that we are back in a position to create our own luck and put pressure on the competition.”

GALOT Motorsports’ Kevin Rivenbark scored a great runner-up finish at No Problem Raceway
 (05-21-13) BELLE ROSE, LA - After four rounds of qualifying, Rivenbark was ranked third overall for the Pro Mod class with a best pass of 4.057 at 182.23 MPH in his supercharged Pontiac Firebird, while teammate Todd "King Tut" Tutterow qualified just a hair off the pace in the Pro X-Treme class with his supercharged 1967 Ford Mustang GT500.
During the first round of Pro Mod eliminations, Rivenbark easily drove past his opponent with a strong 3.994 at 183.34 MPH pass to take the win.  (05-20-13) CAYUGA, ON - Held at the Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park during its Victoria Day Weekend Challenge, winners were declared in the Pro Modified Racing Association, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series presented by Wiseco Performance Products.
Winning the PMRA event was Rocky Di Lecce of Mississauga, Ontario. Bill White of Gadshill, Ontario won the Quick 32 Sportsman Series race, and Dan Cryderman of Thamesville, Ontario won the PBSS race.

TEAM ARUBA SCORES FIRST ADRL WIN
 (05-20-13) CORDOVA, IL - Heading into the ADRL Spring Drags, Team Aruba was looking to wrap up some unfinished business, and that’s exactly what they did. From start to finish, Trevor Eman and the gang from Aruba dominated Extreme Pro Stock the entire weekend. In their first qualifying pass, they laid down the number which would remain on top for the weekend, a 4.099 at 175.98 MPH. The Aruba.com / Alltel Wireless Mustang was again the fastest car in rounds two and three of qualifying. D’Aprile Leads Winners List With Pro X-treme Victory At X-DRL’s Bash On The Bayou At No Problem Raceway
 (05-20-12) BELLE ROSE, LA - Tommy D’Aprile now has his first X-treme Drag Racing League (X-DRL) win.
The Pro X-treme standout put together one impressive performance after another during Saturday’s Bash On The Bayou at No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, La., finishing off his memorable day and the X-DRL’s third-ever event with a 3.673 at 207.34 mph in the finals against Quain Stott.
“I’m so grateful to have won this race and I’m so blessed to be here,” D’Aprile said. “To win for these guys, it’s just awesome and just to race someone like Quain in the finals, it’s great.”

Taylor, DeFlorian, Laurita Head Qualifying List At X-DRL’s Bash On The Bayou At No Problem Raceway
 (05-18-13) BELLE ROSE, LA - Frankie Taylor once again found himself at the top of Pro X-treme qualifying in the X-treme Drag Racing League (X-DRL), this time in its debut at No Problem Raceway for the Bash On The Bayou.
Hot conditions didn’t bother Taylor during Friday’s qualifying, as the Pro X-treme standout went 3.70 at 206.45 mph, putting him at No. 1 through three qualifying sessions in Belle Rose, La.
“That would be real cool to be No. 1 again,” Taylor said. “We were pretty happy with that pass, especially doing that in some pretty hot conditions. Just getting down the track with a good run like that is what matters.”
